Drawing With Guidelines

This was just a simple exercise. It involved me drawing a plant, while doing so I made use of a blue colored pencil first to sketch out a rough idea of the plant I was trying to simplify. These lines acted as guides which I then drew over in a dark ink while editing the design based off of the underlying blue guidelines as well as adding more layers of detail to the drawing. Afterwards I scanned the Image and cleaned it up in Photoshop as a final draft of the plant i was drawing.
