Animation

The animation I created is approximately a minute long. It portrays a man sleeping in his tent on a camping trip. While he is asleep an alien spacecraft comes hurtling to the ground and crashes on the floor next to his camp site. An alien gets out and begins to do repairs on his ship when the human begins to wake up. He takes out his stun gun but it suddenly glitches so the alien picks up a rock beside him and throws it at the human to make him sleep. The alien then gets back in his ship and flies away. The drawing and animation style was taken from an animator named Markus Magnusson. I watched a tutorial on a walk cycle as well to get the hang of it. When designing the alien's ship i used the Saiyan space ship from Dragon Ball Z as a reference point. I used Illustrator to make the drawings and tried to follow a set colour palette when colouring my scenes. Finally I used After Effects to animate my illustrations and bring them to life.
